My Liberty Journey

Laura Baker is a professional horse trainer and clinician specializing in liberty. Laura

teaches workshops and clinics and trains horses out of her home with her husband in

Albany, Wisconsin and through their business, Everyday Horsemanship.

Laura’s passion for liberty developed while gentling Mustangs, as she quickly learned

the effectiveness of using both draw and drive depending on the horse’s personality.

Through her work with Mustangs, Laura began playing with liberty as a way of adding

variety to her groundwork sessions once the horse knew its fundamental exercises.

Laura’s passion is in helping owners and their horses develop connections with each

other both on the ground and in the saddle. Her skills in developing the horse’s

education using draw and drive as she does with Mustangs, sets her apart.
